The standard hire period is up to four weeks. Extended hire is available on request, with additional charges of £10 plus VAT per week for open skips, £15 plus VAT per week for enclosed skips and £40 plus VAT per week for RoRos.

Question 5

Question 6

What items cannot be placed in a Masters Skips skip?

Accepted Answer

Prohibited items include electrical items, fridges and freezers, batteries, tyres, pressurised containers, paint or varnish tins, gas cylinders, fluorescent tubes, liquids, telegraph poles, marine wood, railway sleepers and contaminated soils. Asbestos cannot go into a general skip but Masters Skips does offer a specialist asbestos disposal service.

Question 7

Does Masters Skips charge extra for certain types of waste?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Mattresses incur an additional charge of £25 plus VAT each, and upholstered seating items also carry additional disposal charges due to current waste regulations. Skips containing mostly unrecyclable material such as roofing felt or insulation are charged at a haulage and tonnage rate rather than a set price. Variable pricing also applies to certain waste streams such as wood and plasterboard.
