BCP Council Skip Hire is a local authority skip hire service operated by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, serving businesses and private residents across the BCP area and parts of Dorset. The service covers Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole as well as various parts of Ferndown, Wareham and Wimborne. Skips are available for a wide range of waste types including construction and demolition waste, garden waste, mixed metals and wood. BCP Council Skip Hire also offers a grab bag service for smaller amounts of waste or where space is insufficient for a full skip. Grab bags measure 90cm x 90cm x 90cm and are placed on the customer's property within four metres of the highway, with collection arranged once the bag is full. The service aims to deliver or collect skips within 24 hours of a request being made. Certain materials cannot be accepted, including asbestos, tyres, plasterboard, paints, oils and liquids, though the service can advise on alternative disposal methods for these.
